Houses
School Houses at Holtsmere
At Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School, every child and adult belongs to a House Team. Our house system helps us build a sense of community, encourage teamwork, and celebrate positive behaviour across the school.
How does it work?
Children are placed into one of four houses:
Blue, Green, Red or Yellow.
Each house has a focus which they work on together throughout the year. This year (2026-27) there will be a Financial literacy focus.
The houses meet together each half term.
Each child has a t-shirt in their house colour which they wear for PE and when they take part in external sports competitions.

Blue House:
Blue House's learning value is team work.
Green House:
Green House's learning value is curiosity.
Red House:
Red House's learning value is resilience.
YellowHouse:
Yellow House's learning value is perseverance.
