PSHE at Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School
At Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School, we are committed to delivering a high-quality PSHE curriculum that supports children’s personal development and wellbeing. Through our structured JIGSAW programme, pupils develop essential life skills including emotional resilience, positive relationships, and the ability to make safe and healthy choices.
Our lessons are engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate, encouraging children to explore their thoughts and feelings through discussion, role play, and reflection. We place a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, helping pupils to understand and manage their emotions while building confidence, empathy, and respect for others.
PSHE learning equips children with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the world around them, both now and in the future. By the end of Key Stage 1, pupils are confident, reflective, and responsible individuals who understand how to keep themselves safe, build positive relationships, and contribute positively to their community.
