Computing at Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School

At Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School, we aim to develop confident, curious and responsible users of technology. Through our computing curriculum, children build essential skills in using digital devices, understanding how technology works, and creating simple programs. 

We use Purple Mash to support engaging and progressive learning across the school. This allows pupils to explore coding, digital creativity and problem-solving in a fun and accessible way. 

A strong emphasis is placed on online safety, ensuring children understand how to stay safe, respectful and responsible when using technology both in school and at home. Online safety is taught regularly and reinforced across the wider curriculum. 

By the end of Key Stage 1, our pupils are equipped with the foundational computing skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
