 School Council

The School Council has representatives chosen from Year 1 and Year 2 classes.  These  classes have voted for two children to take their views, ideas and opinions to the monthly meetings.  The aim is to help improve the teaching, learning and life in the School.  Photos of our representatives are displayed in the dining hall and are:

Summer Hearne-Steel and Oliver Potter - Oak Class
Ava Robson and Alfie Robilliard - Hazel Class
Sam Redican and Sebastian Vyvlek - Beech Class
Nikkia Cameron-Paul and Coby Rogers - Pine Class

Issues discussed this term:

What the School Council is for and how everyone can be involved
UK Parliament Week
How we can help other in our community at Christmas

We are going to be working on a whole school project for the Speaker's Award 2017.

On 28th March we took part in the Great British Spring Clean.  Holly Butterworth came to talk to the whole school in assembly about the need to recycle and pick up litter.  Each class used the litter pickers in the school playground despite the rain!   Here the school council look for litter on the pavements outside school.
